34-Year Runners

Each year, the Tufts Health Plan 10K for Women pays tribute to a unique group of women who have run the race each year since its inception in 1977. Most of them stepped up to that start line for many different reasons in 1977, whether it be a commitment to get healthy, to gain self-confidence, to make a stance for women in sports, or simply to have fun. Whatever it was, this race has become an important part of their lives.

Although they did not know each other 34 years ago, this special group have formed an everlasting bond — the Tufts Health Plan 10K for Women! They will not only run with each other on October 11, but their friends, sisters, daughters, and colleagues will join them to celebrate women and healthy living. Be sure to “Follow Them” on Columbus Day, as they surely know the way!
